On the afternoon of November 5, the launching ceremony of the China News and Communication Lecture Hall was held at the Communication University of China. All the teachers and Students of the College of Journalism and Communication watched the launching ceremony online. The China News and Communication Lecture Hall is a major measure taken by the Ministry of Education to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches on strengthening the work of news and public opinion and accelerating the modernization of education. It is also the first important work to officially sound the clarion call for the construction of new liberal arts. The Party and government leadership of the college attached great importance to this work and arranged a series of activities to be carried out around the lecture hall. All teachers and students are required to seriously study and understand the content of the theme of the lecture hall, "Reports from the First Line of Anti-epidemic in Wuhan", especially the family and country feelings and professional qualities of Chinese journalists shown in reporting the epidemic. Through study, we can improve our political and professional qualities, build a "new liberal arts", promote the reform of journalism and communication education, and train journalism and communication talents in the new era.
