On June 12, the Chinese traditional culture and philosophy research center unveils the ceremony and the Chinese culture class raises the plan demonstration meeting to be held. Party Secretary Wen Xingsheng, Vice President Lu Xiaocheng and Chu Culture Research Expert Professor Liu Yutang attended the meeting. Wen Xingsheng and Liu Yutang jointly unveiled the center.
Lu Xiaocheng pointed out: As a liberal arts college with the characteristics of economics and management, it is of great significance to set up a research center aimed at inheriting the fine traditional Chinese culture and promoting the education of Chinese culture. The establishment of the center not only helps to improve the humanistic quality of teachers and students, plant the foundation of campus culture, enhance the power and strength of the school to build a first-class undergraduate education, but also helps teachers and students to cultivate the family and national feelings of helping the world, and lays the foundation for building a "new Confucian businessman".
The center is a university-level academic institution, with the Chinese Department of the School of Journalism and Communication as the main body of construction, and integrates the university's arts, history, philosophy, arts and other related disciplines. At present, the center has two platforms of scientific research and teaching, which mainly focus on the research of humanistic quality education, the research of modern cultural celebrities in Hubei, and the traditional culture and modern creative industries.
