(Correspondent: Xiao Zhihong) From September 11 to 12，2021, the 2021  China Universities Debating Championship(CUDC) Finals was held online. HBUE team, composed of Gong Yuqi and Xiao Kejia, members of our school’s English speech and debate team, advanced to the finals with the second prize in the South China Division. It competed with other 112 teams from the four divisions of East China, West China, South China and North China. After two days and five rounds of fierce competitions, our HUBE team won the third prize in the finals.

The China Universities Debating Championship (CUDC) is sponsored by the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination Project Management Center (CATTI) of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and guided by China National Committee for Translation and Interpreting Education of the Ministry of Education. It is one of the largest and highest-level national English debate competitions.
