One Project of the School Won Later-period Funding of the National Social Science Foundation of China in 2020

Recently the list of projects to be granted later-period funding by the National Social Science Foundation of China in the frame of the excellent doctoral paper publication program in 2020 was announced. The project Impact of trade openness on the Green Total Factor Productivity (GTFP) of Chinese Industry with Huang Jinpeng as the researcher was awarded general funding for theoretical economic research.

As a response to the requirement “to build a green and low-carbon sustainable economic system” found in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the project provides an in-depth investigation into the relationship between trade openness and environmental protection, the measures for improving Green Total Factor Productivity (GTFP) of Chinese industry, and the solution for green growth and sustainable development. The findings in the research can be used as valuable input for trade policies that are intended to improve the Green Total Factor Productivity (GTFP) of Chinese industry.
