On December 15th, a delegation from Moscow University of Finance and Law, Russia, led by its First Vice-Rector Oleg Zabelin visited HBUE, and they are welcomed by Vice President He Huigang. The two parties later had a meeting on the topic of cooperation.

He Huigang ,on behalf of HUBE, expressed a warm welcome to the Russian guests, and then introduced the school's development process, the concept of school management, characteristics of academic disciplines, students training mode and international exchanges and cooperation, etc. He said the two schools have many similarities in professional setting, discipline development and school management. He hoped the two sides can seize the opportunity of “First Hubei Sino-Russian University Forum and “One Belt and One Road” strategy to create a new chapter in exchanges and cooperation, and to further contribute to higher education exchanges between China and Russia.

Oleg Zabelin expressed gratefulness for the hospitality, and he introduced the Moscow University of Finance and law including its history, campus distribution, professional features and international education, etc. He then expressed his common desire of developing inter-university cooperation, expanding teachers and students’ horizons, and improving teaching quality and academic practice.

On behalf of the two universities, He Huigang and Oleg Zabelin signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The leaders discussed and reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation projects of faculty visits, student long-term and short-term exchanges and distance education.
