Mid-Autumn Festival Reception for foreign teachers and Taiwan teachers was held

On September 23, at the beautiful night with full moon and cool breeze, the reception of Mid-autumn Festival was held at the coffee house in Library. University heads including Qi Laying, He Huigang, Chen Xiangjun, Zhang Yilin and Directors from relevant departments attended the reception, celebrating the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival with Teachers from Taiwan Region and all foreign teachers from the U.S., the U.K., Hungary, etc.

In the opening remarks, Vice President He Huigang briefly introduced the university’s achievements in recent years in the areas of talent cultivation, scientific research, social service, cultural communication, and expressed the gratitude to teachers for their contribution. He says, Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival that represents reunion, and at this beautiful festive night, he hopes all the teachers and researchers enjoy the Festival and their stays in HBUE, and he wishes them a greater success in their studies and careers.

On the reception, people enjoyed moon cakes, Chinese tea while appreciating performances brought by Taiwan teachers, foreign teachers and students. There were also interesting games that were liked and actively participated by guests that night. The Festival Reception was ended with a folk music ensemble “The Butterfly Lovers” and a big applause.

The Mid-Autumn Festival Reception was organized by the Personnel Department and the International Exchange & Cooperation Department (Hong Kong, Macao Affairs Office).
